I must admit that last Thursday was a great experience when I had the opportunity to go to New York for fashion week.  I had always wanted to attend at least one show, so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I received an invite to attend Texture On The Runway.  There was no planning on my part, which made me even more grateful that this opportunity presented itself to me.

Hello Dolls!  If it’s one thing that is a staple and go to in my closet are jeans.  I’m the ultimate jean girl and wear them frequently in my day to day.  During the warmer weather, I like a shorter version which would be cut off jeans.

Hello Dolls!  Well Labor Day is officially over which means the end of summer, but summer fashion is still in effect as far as I’m concerned.  Per the weather when I shot this flirty little skirt it  gave no indication that fall is approaching us.  And yes I’m that person that still wears white after labor day, I don’t follow that rule at all.

Hey Dolls!  Can you believe that it’s the Labor Day weekend and fall is literally a couple weeks away?  I don’t know about you but I’m still holding on to summer for as long as I can, which leads me to why I’m loving this perfect black romper right now.  Rompers are the perfect all in one outfit you just put on and go without any fuss.

My love for maxi dresses is never ending, so it should come as no surprise that I’m head over heels with this maxi.  Anytime I get my hands on the perfect one, I jump at the chance to add it to my wardrobe.  I received this beautiful dress from Brown Sugar Collection, an online women’s boutique.  

Hey Dolls!  Stripes are so fun to wear and I love that they’re versatile enough to be worn with just about anything.  I especially enjoy wearing them during the summer adding some edge and pairing with my go to staple wardrobe, my white tee shirt.  With this look I paired pieces that I already had in my closet to create a new look.

The summer is still going strong and I want to continue to make the most out of it before the season starts to change.  I’m all about a great all white outfit, it just gives off such a crisp and fresh look that I love.  In the last year I really started being more into wearing white and adding it to my wardrobe.  These pants and lace top definitely was a no-brainer as the perfect simple all white outfit.

I like to have a little fun with my wardrobe adding fun colors and trading my t shirts for a summer sweater.  It’s a nice and easy way to switch your wardrobe look up during the summer and add some versatility.  That’s exactly what I did with this orange polka dot sweater.

You may not believe me after seeing this post, but I wouldn’t be caught wearing shorts of any kind as recently as a few years ago.  I was always so self-conscious of my legs and thought they were too big so I would talk myself out of wearing them every time I would get my nerve up.  As I’ve gotten older I realized how silly I was being and that all of me is beautiful, so shorts I’m here for you!

I don’t know about you, but I’m taking full advantage of the summer and wearing some of my favorite pieces before it comes to an end.  It always feel like I look up and realize I haven’t worn something I like either at all or only once.  That’s how I feel about this summer baseball cap that I absolutely love!
