How To Wear A Statement Sweatshirt

Hello Dolls!  It is officially Spring, but if you’re on the East coast like myself Jack Frost is still nipping at your nose.   One minute I’m wearing open toe sandals and the next day it’s Uggs.   I always feel that March is a temperamental month and you kinda of just have to go with the flow.  For this reason and just for the fact that I love a great statement sweatshirt, this was a look that was perfect on this brisk day.

I found this gray sweatshirt with ruffle details on the side from H&M and I loved the fit and how lightweight it felt.  It’s definitely a seasoned piece that can transition into Spring on those cooler days and can be paired with a variety of looks.  I decided to go with a black pair of jeans and some ankle booties to complete my look.  This has casual chic comfort written all over it and if you wanted  to switch this look up a bit you could go with a pair of cute flats for a day of errands and heels for a date night!  Either way you rock it you will make a statement and be on trend!

What I love the most about a statement sweatshirt is the fact that it can be worn so many different ways. You could pair it with boyfriend jeans, a leather jacket and a cool hat, or pair it with a metallic skirt which would add contrast to a more casual sweatshirt.  Plus you can then take this same look from day to night.  Another great look is pairing with leather pants and sandals or adding a button-down shirt underneath a dressier sweatshirt so that it’s office appropriate.  If you viewed my last post I talked about what not to wear to the office.

Take a look in your closet and pull out that sweatshirt that you thought was boring and try some of these outfit ideas, you will be amazed at what looks you can come up with that you already own.  It’s a win win situation, you shop your closet and stay on trend with affordable looks.

So tell me, how would you rock your statement sweatshirt?
