How To Style A Midi Skirt

Midi Skirt

When I think about a midi skirt the first thing that comes to mind is ladylike.  I love the styling options and the standout silhouette it allows for each woman’s body type.  It can be intimidating at first but with the right pattern design, that perfect shoe and the right top that tucked in the right way, you will be runway ready for any occasion.

Styling The Look

I’ve partnered with Eve Lawrence boutique as their Brand Ambassador which I’m so excited about and will be showing you more looks this month.  This online women’s boutique handpicks all of their designs to cater to the sophistication of the modern day woman with pieces that can go from day to night.

This midi skirt which is called the boomerang skirt features overalls with button closures, which i absolutely love because it’s the perfect mixture of both worlds combined into one.  For me it’s important that any piece I own also can be worn for more than one occasion and this skirt fits that bill. It’s so stylish and has a skit high-waist and a finished hem at the bottom.  Another win is the mix of colors giving the design of the skirt a classy chic look.

A monochromatic look is what I choose by paring the skirt with an all black lace top that was tucked into the skirt.  Because I’m not the tallest girl in the world this looks elongates this style giving the illusion that I’m taller than I really am.  I kept my accessories along the same lines, adding a statement black ring, sandals paired with socks and a pop of color with my red lipstick.  If you want to keep the look more professional for work try pairing the midi skirt with a blouse and a some heels or even knee high boots.  This is a great versatile skirt, so make sure you check out Eve Lawrence boutique for this look.
