With the official season of Spring finally here, it’s know wonder my thoughts are on warmer climate looks that I can wear.  If you’re a fan of the LBD (Little Black Dress), then you will be ready to embrace her cousin the LWD – a.k.a. the little white dress. This is the more lightweight, carefree but still classy version that’s perfect for the warmer months of spring and summer.  They’re super easy to style and I’m showing how I styled mine.

LITTLE WHITE DRESS

This little white dress is a sophisticated show stopper that hugs every curve in all the right places.  Up until now I didn’t even own a white dress, but this one from Eve Lawrence Boutique has definitely changed my mind about having one.  I’ve always loved white dresses but I just never really found one that caught my attention and that I was crazy about. Another plus with this dress is that it has a designed choker making it the statement piece of this look.  Now you don’t have to think about a necklace to wear and keep the focus on the choker instead. I love a pop of color especially if wearing all white at least most of the time, which is exactly what I did with these pink ruffled ankle strap sandals.  It gives that wow factor and ladies you know we love us some wow when we can get it. And I can’t forget the back of the dress with the open cut-outs on both sides, very sexy if I say so myself.

During the warm weather season we always have a bridal shower, brunch, engagement parties or graduation parties etc., to attend so there won’t be a shortage on getting some wear out of your little white dress.  One thing you want to keep in mind when wearing white is to have the proper undergarments on underneath your outfit. White tends to show everything and some materials are thin causing it to be see through so be mindful and wear seamless underwear along with some Spandex, trust me you will thank me later if you invest in these items.

STYLING TIPS

There are so many versions of a little white dress that you can play around with that can be dressed up and dressed down, so here are a few ideas on how you can style your dress.

1. Wear with a denim jacket that can be paired with heels or flats

2. Add bold hues with your accessories to make your whites really pop  

3. Add metallics like rose gold, silver or gold which makes a statement against an all white dress

4. Try adding a field jacket for those chilly summer nights which will add a bit of masculinity to a feminine look

5. Create a defined waist with a belt or tie and play around with different textures, colors and widths to get that perfect look
